The King of Pop met the King of Kings at 2:26pm PST Today

As the world mourns the passing of Michael Jackson the “King of Pop”, I find myself also saddened by the news of the heart attack that took his life.
I was never a huge Jackson fan but I always liked the music that he produced. As a young boy I use to enjoy his songs on the radio and MTV, and as with everyone else, I loved the Thriller video.
Michael Jackson’s death has really caused me to reflect on the mortality of man. Even though I knew that he would eventually die one day, the reality of that really sunk in today as I heard the news. As humans we tend to think somehow we are not going to die. Yet reality kicks in and we realized that at any moment we could be on our way into eternity. The statistics are always the same… 10 out of 10 people die.
The bible says that everyone who dies will face Jesus Christ, The King of Kings. 1 Corinthians 2:10 says: “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.” The bible also says that man is destined to die once, and then face judgment (Hebrews 9:27).
So as I’ve pondered these things I decided to do some research on Michal Jackson’s religious viewpoints. I came across a disturbing article about Michael Jackson with this headline:
Michael Jackson Confirms Conversion to Islam
San Francisco Chronicle, USA
Feb. 24, 2007
www.sfgate.comThe subtitle reads: Pop superstar Michael Jackson has confirmed his conversion to Islam, according to reports in the Middle East.
What is most disturbing to me is that unless God Almighty reached down and transformed Michael Jackson’s heart and opening his eyes to the beauty and glory of Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, he is now suffering God’s eternal wrath in hell for his unbelief in Jesus Christ as being the ONLY way he would ever be made right with God. I fully believe that God creates 11th hour converts. The thief on the cross is a perfect example of that. But unless God converted Michael Jackson from Islam to true Christianity, there is no other conclusion than that he is eternally suffering in Hell as the penalty for his sins against God. The thought of that is just heartbreaking.
Of course I don’t think in any way, God is ever unjust for putting someone in Hell, but its still heartbreaking to know that someone is there…
Michael Jackson was considered a king by the standards of the world. He had the best that life could offer. Yet I am reminded to heed the words of my Lord Jesus in Mathew 16:25 – 26:
“25) For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it. 26) What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul?”
